Q. Can a hypnotherapist make me do something I don’t’ want to do?
A. NO. You are in control. A Hypnotherapist cannot make you do something against your morals or ethics. A person must have the desire to change a particular circumstance; then a Hypnotherapist may use hypnosis as an instrument in helping make that change.

A. The number of visits will vary as all individuals and circumstances are unique. The hypnotherapist will discuss recommendations and options with individuals interested in hypnosis sessions.

A. Hypnosis is not talk therapy, and does not include advising, diagnosing or prescribing. That would be the domain of other professionals, usually licensed to counsel. A. A hypnosis session is a one-on-one session with a professional hypnotherapist. During the session we will discuss your issues and goals for hypnosis. Once all questions are answered and you feel comfortable to proceed, the hypnosis portion of session will begin. Each session is customized to your individual needs and your hypnotherapist will assists you on your journey through hypnosis in order for you gain your desired result.
Q. I am Under The Care of A Medical or Mental Health Doctor. Can I Also See A Hypnotherapist?
A. Absolutely, If you are under the care of a Medical and/or Mental Health Professional, you will need to bring in a referral from your practitioner before your first session. In some cases, your treatment plan will need to be discussed with your practitioner.
Q. Is Hypnosis Safe?
A. Yes. Hypnosis is safe and you will be in control the whole time. Your hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything you do not want to do. Hypnosis has been approved by the British Medical Association in 1955 and the American Medical Association in 1958. The American Psychological Association approved hypnosis as a science in 1960. In actuality, hypnosis has been safely and effectively used by medical and psychological professionals for over 200 years.
Q.Does what we talk about in our session remain confidential?
A. Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and hypnotherapist. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office. Every hypnotherapist should provide a written copy of their disclosure of services, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. Sometimes, however, you may want your hypnotherapist to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your Physician, Psychotherapist, Psychologist), but by law your hypnotherapist cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission.
However, state law and professional ethics require hypnotherapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:
* Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.
* If the hypnotherapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threaten to harm another person.
* A court may also order disclosure of information learned in therapy.
